Office of Children's Services, or (http://www.hss.state.ak.us/ocs/):OCS works in partnership with families and communities to support the well-being of Alaska's children.

The Alaska Foster Parent Training Center has changed its name to: Alaska Center for Resource Families, or (http://www.acrf.org/): Provides training and support for Alaska's resource families. "Resource families" refers to foster and adoptive families, kinship care, and tribally licensed homes.

Child Advocacy Team: A non-partisan group of Alaskans made up of parents, professionals, kids and others who want all children in Alaska to be safe and healthy.

RID Alaska of Child Abuse: Resource and Information Directory on Child Abuse in the State of Alaska.

Best Interests: Child Advocacy; National news and resources for professionals and volunteers who advocate for abused and neglected children.

Connect for Kids: provides adults the tools and information they need to improve the lives of children, youth and families. The Connect for Kids online publication covers more than 30 topics ranging from arts to youth development, foster care to adoption, and welfare reform to oral health

Domestic Violence

AWAIC: Abused Women's Aid in Crisis. Battered women's shelter in Anchorage.

Alaska Council On Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. The mission of the Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault is to reduce the causes and incidence and to alleviate the effects of domestic violence and sexual assault.  

Alaska Women's Resource Center provides information and referral, substance abuse treatment and domestic violence counseling and prevention services to women in Anchorage.

Alaska Native Women's Coalition. The goal is to provide a unified voice for Alaska Native against domestic violence and sexual assault.

Alaska Network on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault is a statewide coalition made up of twenty domestic violence and sexual assault programs in Alaska.

Men and Women Center. Provides state-approved domestic violence intervention program (DVIP) and anger management classes.
